ROJIURA

In Japan, a "ROJIURA" is a back alley, a passage that is narrow and dark behind old buildings. This series of photographs looks at the moments captured in "ROJIURA" in Tokyo, often perceived as dark spaces found among the shadows. I was intrigued by the glimpses of beauty found within the imperfections of the surroundings. All photography has been taken as a close up to reveal the texture and details to evoke a sense of space and dialogue.
